Committees

The Certification Committee shall stimulate interest and encourage participation in the Certified Professional Secretary® and the Certified Administrative Professional programs.

Christine Mckinney

The Civic and Hospitality Committee shall lead the Chapter's activities in the field of service to the community and host guests at all Chapter meetings and functions, which Committee shall be chaired by the Administrative Professional of The Year (APOTY).

Ambrosine Mitchell

The Membership Committee shall direct all activities of the Chapter concerning the recruitment and retention of membership, as well as coordinate the Perky O’Brien Most Outstanding Member Award.

Frances Ambrister

The Publicity Committee shall publicize Chapter activities through releases to the press and other media, and coordinate requests for speaking engagements.

Melanese Coakley

The Ways and Means Committee shall be responsible for fund-raising efforts of the Chapter.

Lynette Bowleg

The Scrapbook Committee shall collect and assemble pictures, news articles, and memorabilia’s pertaining to the Chapter’s activities, and present a scrapbook for competition in the Florida Division Awards, and then present it to the outgoing President at the Annual Meeting.

Sylvia Bodie-Mitchell

The Newsletter Committee shall prepare and distribute the official publication of this Chapter. The committee shall publish a minimum of eight (8) newsletters each year.

The Bylaws and Standing Rules Committee shall be responsible for the Bylaws and Standing Rules.

The Program and Education Committee shall bring before the Chapter the latest information and methods on administrative procedures, plan educational study sessions and programs for the benefit of the members.

The Website Committee shall regularly monitor, access, and update information contained on the web to align with the scope of the Chapter and the Florida Division Awards.

The Scholarship Committee shall be responsible for soliciting of funds and the organizing and selection of candidates for the IAAP Scholarship Award.

The Student Chapter Committee shall be responsible for the recruitment and retention of the Student Chapters.
